COUSCOUS, MUSHROOMS, PEAS, AND HAM

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cups couscous
  • 1/3 cup dehydrated mushrooms, finely chopped
  • ⅓ cup dehydrated peas
  • ½ cup dehydrated ham
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tsp dried herbs
  • 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper (don’t skimp on pepper)
  • 2 Tbl. grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients except cheese in a 4 x 6 plastic bag. 
  2. Place Parmesan cheese in a 2 x 3 zip style plastic bag.
  3. Enclose the smaller bag in the larger bag and seal.

Yield: Serves 2

Rehydrate:

  1. Boil 1 ½ cups water. Stir the ingredients into the water well, remove from heat, and leave covered (without peaking) for 10 minutes.
  2. Fluff with a fork.
  3. Add parmesan cheese
